My Philosophy

Learning should never feel like a chore. I strive to make education engaging and enjoyable by incorporating games, creativity, and imagination into every lesson. My teaching approach blends both teacher-led instruction and a strong student-centered focus, ensuring that each child stays actively involved and inspired.

I cater to all four learning styles—visual, auditory, reading/writing, and kinesthetic—so that every student can absorb and retain information in the way that suits them best. My goal is to make learning not only effective but genuinely fun.

About Me

From a young age, I knew I was meant to be a teacher. As a child, I would turn my bedroom into a classroom and play “school” with my siblings and cousins. Eventually, I convinced my family to turn our garage into a mini classroom, where I hosted lessons for the neighborhood kids. I loved seeing how eager they were to learn and play, despite having already spent the day at school. Those cherished memories inspired my journey into education.

I’m a proud graduate of Cal State San Bernardino, where I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Studies. Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending quality time with my family and unwinding with relaxing activities like reading, working on puzzles, and adult coloring books. I’m also a devoted book lover and a proud Harry Potter super fan!

Learning Pods

TK-5 Learning pods are hosted in Murrieta on Monday's & Tuesday's and include Math/ELA (2 hours daily) or Math/ELA/Social Studies (3 hours daily). Pod space is limited and is currently capped at 5 students per pod.

Please contact me prior to requesting funds from your Charter School to ensure space is available.

Tutoring

I offer one-on-one tutoring in Reading and Math. All sessions are scheduled Monday - Friday.

Math tutoring levels include Arithmetic, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1, Algebra 2 and Geometry.

Grade Levels TK-9

Space is limited! Please contact me prior to requesting funds from your Charter School.

If you're trying to reach me during instructional hours (Pod or Tutoring sessions), I will get back to you by the end of the business day. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Sick Policy

Your child’s health and safety is my first priority at Lauren’s Learning Collective. In order to maintain a safe and healthy environment and prevent the spread of illness between my clients, I have developed the following child illness policy. This policy serves in the best interest of all children who participate in my learning community. In addition, I am a sole proprietor and do not have access to substitutes should I fall ill..

If your child exhibits any of the following symptoms, please keep them home and notify me by texting (909) 782-9271. Your child may not return to tutoring sessions or learning pod until symptom free for at least 24 hours. We will work on rescheduling their tutoring session when they are well. If your child becomes ill while in session, you will be contacted immediately so that he/she can be picked up.

Symptoms:

Fever of 100.4 F or greater
Vomiting or Diarrhea
Positive Covid, Flu, Strep or other communicable disease test
Unexplained rash or hives
Persistent cough or sore throat (not allergy related)
Mucous - excessive and/or persistent from mouth, nose or eyes
Ear drainage or severe ear ache, suspected ear infection or ear infection
Eye infection or suspected pink eye
Difficulty breathing or wheezing
Exposure to illness through sibling; even if a child isn't symptomatic, they could potentially be carrying germs to a contagious illness without exhibiting symptoms for several days
Headache moderate to severe
Head lice, ringworm (return when fully treated)
HFM - May return when symptoms resolve and sores have cleared
Peak Cold/Flu Season, December-February: If your child displays any concerning symptoms, such as a sore throat or phlegmy cough, please keep your child home to lessen the spread of potential flu like illness
